Ivo
Ivo Villalobos, is a revered House music DJ and producer hailing from the lush landscapes of Costa Rica. His life has been permeated by music from the outset; born into a family of musicians, his parents’ passion for melody was infectious, sparking a lifelong love affair with the sonic arts.
With his first foray into music at the tender age of four, Ivo’s world quickly transformed into a melange of music lessons, instrument practice, rehearsals, and the electrifying thrill of live performances. It was here, on the stage, that he found his true calling.
In line with his career, Ivo’s love for music extends to the desire to roam freely, spreading his infectious rhythms across the globe. His twin passions for music and marketing seamlessly meld, allowing him to work from anywhere, producing music, and showcasing his DJ skills in numerous locations. So far, his sonic journey has taken him to diverse musical hotspots like Spain, Germany, Austria, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Panama.
His curiosity was piqued by the art of DJing when he was just 14. Immersing himself in the universe of music production and composition, he embarked on an impressive DJ career, starting from humble beginnings at neighborhood parties to eventually gracing the decks at high-profile events and clubs throughout Costa Rica and beyond.
In his home country, he has been resident DJ at most prominent clubs – El Boiler Speakeasy, Selvática and Casa Félix. Here, he initiated his renowned House Music party, “UNDR”. He has also spun tracks at major events such as the Holi One Color Festival and the after-parties for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Recently, he has been entertaining crowds at two new party concepts – Saturdecks and Sunrise Sessions, based in Nosara, CR. Recently he’s part of El Boiler Speakeasy, the epicenter of House Music in Costa Rica. Recently in 2023 he opened his own space named El Boiler, an exclusive House Music Speakeasy located in the heart of San José
Ivo has been tirelessly honing his craft, producing original music to be shared with the global dance music community. His ultimate ambition is clear: to traverse the globe, delivering feel-good vibes through his unique brand of House music.
